Cannabis Energy Review

Name: Cannabis Energy Drink
Size: 8.46 fl oz.
Caffeine Content: 80 mg per can
Calories: N/A

Somebody that doesn't know anything about cannabis or energy drinks may assume that a "Cannabis Energy Drink" is quite an oxymoron. Believe it or not, there are varieties of cannabis that do not leave you feeling tired and lethargic and there are definitely, definitely energy drinks that do not leave you feeling energized. I appropriately found this interesting 8 oz. energy drink at Spencer's in the mall which is definitely the ideal place to go if you would like to find energy drinks, or any product, that would fit this sort of edgy category. I'm not the type to fall in love with an energy drink simply because it's called Cannabis and I'm also not the type to completely disregard a drink because it's called Cannabis. I drank it excitedly, but as far as a review goes I'll definitely treat it just like I would any other drink.

Like I said, Cannabis comes in an 8 oz. can. The can itself is naturally green, with a marijuana leaf and "Cannabis Energy Drink" on the front in a white font. The can itself is basic yet functional in a way similar to how a mason jar or ziplock baggy may be. I do like the can, and also thought that the green tab on top was a nice addition. For a sort of "novelty" energy drink, it looks pretty good and contains the liquid inside nicely.

Unfortunately, Spencer's was all out of the "3 Month Old Bong Water" flavor of this drink which meant that I had to settle for this flavor. Nonetheless, upon cracking it open and taking a sip I was greeted with a flavor that appears to be a mix of Monster/Red Bull with that standard energy drink "bite" that I've encountered so many times before. It wasn't anything surprising or revolutionary but it did not taste bad. I wouldn't call it a "clone" drink because it isn't an exact rip off of anything but I would say that it's reminiscent of other energy drinks out there.

I won't lie and say that I recieved energy from this drink. It's not that it's awful all around, but it's pretty small and doesn't contain enough caffeine to give someone like me any energy. Someone else will probably get a boost in energy from this, but I did not. I'd probably have to drink at least two of these to feel anything.

Was this drink worth trying? Yes. Did it taste good? Yes. Is it too small to provide an energy buzz to someone who drinks energy drinks every day? Yes. Would I drink 6 of them back-to-back to get a lot of energy? Yes.
